HELMART CUSTOM PAINTED FURNITURE
I am excited to show off these recently finished completely unique pieces of custom painted furniture, first with with a special coffee table and second the famous Eero Aarnio Ball chair.
I wanted the coffee table to really stand out and be a statement piece within a room, but also have shapes that flow with the curves of the table and almost act as an illusion depending how you look at it.
CUSTOM PAINTED EERO AARNIO CHAIR
It has long been a goal of mine to custom paint one of these special modern Eero Aarnio ball chairs so I’m very excited to show this off.
I was inspired by helmet shapes for the design so the chair almost looked like one of my painted helmets, but then also didn’t depending how you look at it, from inverted visor screw circles on the sides, to then shapes that fold around the ball.
I wanted the colours to flow with the interior fabric shade of red, with some small accent red shapes, then lots of white to help it stand out once placed in a room, together with pearl yellow and hyper-shift purple patterns that change colour in the light from purple-blue-gold.
